Making Corrections to Daily Step Count
If your daily step count is lower than you expect, you can correct this by making a manual entry. Please read all of the notes below because there are many considerations when adjusting your daily step count.
Notes
- The steps you enter manually for a day will be added to the steps recorded on your device. Once you make a manual entry of steps, we will no longer accept additional steps for that day from your tracker. For this reason, manual entry of steps should be done no sooner than the day after the day you intend to adjust.
- Before making a manual entry of steps, force a sync from your device by following the steps in this article: How to Force a Sync.
- In most cases, if you have multiple devices counting steps, we will add the device that recorded the most steps for that day. Your adjustment should be based on the device that recorded the most steps for the day.
- Your manual entry will be added to the steps received from your device. If we are showing 4000 steps for the day, and you want the event to reflect 6000 steps, your manual entry should be for 2000 steps.
- Not all events support manual entry. If your event does not support manual entry, you will need to coordinate any adjustments you want to make with the manager of your event at your organization. The process for addressing this can be found at this link: What to Do if Your History Doesn't Sync or Your Activities are Missing
