Creating a Ready-to-go Challenge

We continuously monitor the most popular challenges and build wizards around them so you can build and launch your challenge within fifteen minutes. This article is a step-by-step explanation of how to set up Ready-to-go Challenges. More information about specific Ready-to-go Challenges are linked further in this document.

Starting Your Ready-to-go Challenge

The process for creating a Ready-to-go Challenge follows the same steps regardless of which challenge you select. Those steps are:

  1. Select your challenge.
  2. Review the challenge features.
  3. Create the challenge by naming it and entering its start and end dates.
  4. Choosing options (not all Ready-to-go Challenges have options).
  5. Configuration of specific details (not all Ready-to-go Challenges require configuration).
  6. Review and design of your leaderboards.

Once you’ve gone through these steps and configured everything to your preferences, you’ll be ready to launch your challenge!

Selecting Your Challenge and Reviewing Its Features

Setting up any Ready-to-go Challenge begins by navigating to our library. You will be presented with a page that looks like the one below. We are constantly adding new challenges to keep things interesting for you and your participants.

Creating Your Challenge

Once you decide on the challenge that suits your needs, you will first be asked to give your event a name and select the timing for your event. Regardless of which Ready-to-go Challenge you select, you will be presented with a screen like the one below.

On it, you will establish the following:

  1. Event Name – Be thoughtful about what you name your event. When you name your event, we automatically create a permanent URL that matches the name. You can always change the name of your event later, but the original URL associated with your event cannot be updated once it is created.
  2. Start and End date for your event – The event window will include these dates.
  3. Organization choice – Linking an event to your organization makes it easy for other administrators in your organization to find past events. It is also how an event is linked to a license if your organization. The choices are:
  4. Do not link to an organization – linking an organization to your event is optional. For smaller and true one-time events, this is a good choice. However, there is no downside to creating or linking to an organization.
    1. Create a new organization – If this is your first event with us, you should choose this option. If you select this, you will be prompted for a name.
    2. Link with an existing organization – If you already have an organization associated with your account or you have an existing subscription, this is the best choice.
  5. Select OKAY to advance to the next screen.

The remainder of the creation process is specific to the Ready-to-go Challenge you selected. We have specific articles about some of our most popular Ready-to-go Challenges:

  2. Activity Challenges
