Upload results with splits
You can create split locations do import split results and do a pace calculation per split. Splits will need to be defined as their distance and not as the total race distance up to the start or end of the split. E.g. the split between the 35k and 40k point on a marathon in considered 5k of length.
When you import the data you can either import the duration of each split or the clock time (up to and including the split). When you prepare your splits you need to tell the system in which format the data can be expected to arrive:
Here is an example of a set of laps where each lap (= split) is 16.6 km.
When the race is not a run but another type of event the splits will be adjusted to that automatically. E.g. here is an example of a stairclimb where each 'climb' is a set of 2,000 stairs:
Triathlons are special as they not only have splits, but also transitions in between. Make sure to select the correct type of sport for pace/speed calculation and display purposes.
Import file format
In order for the system to automatically map columns in your result file to splits it will try matching those by name. E.g. in the first example above if has Lap 1, Lap 2, etc. in the split configuration and will try to locate that information in the Excel file.
And here is a sample file for the triathlon example configuration where you can see the matching names being used:
