Managing Achievements as an Administrator

Achievements are discrete accomplishments that encourage the development of healthy habits. They are associated with 360º Wellbeing leaderboards. Achievements are always claimed manually by participants.

Achievements can be automatically generated by selecting one of our wellness packs. They can also be created manually and custom-tuned to the specific habits you want to foster.

Regardless of whether the achievement is automatically or manually created, they have many options that you can choose from. You should use care when adjusting any of these options.

Badges have several actions associated with them. These actions are accessed by selecting the appropriate icon under the Actions section of the badge list. The icons look like this:

Possible actions include:

  • Edit (Pencil Icon) - This allows you to define the options that determine how and when the badge will be issued.
  • Design (Paint Bucket Icon) - This allows you to choose the appearance of the badge.
  • Delete (Trash Can Icon) - This allows you to remove the badge from the leaderboard.
  • Claim QR (QR Code Icon) - Displays a printable QR code that participants can scan with their phone to claim this achievement.

More details on those actions that have additional options are listed below.

Edit

Achievements settings have multiple options available. The options are broken into groups. Note that the window refers to Achievements as Badges.

Badge

All badges must have a name.

Popup Window

Details for the Popup Window options can be found in the knowledge base article at this link.

Configuration

Use these settings to configure each badge.

  • Active - This option should be turned on if you intend to have the badge awarded during your challenge. You can prevent a badge from being awarded if you turn it off.
  • Show on Map - Select this option to show a badge on the course map for your virtual journey.
  • Post to Feed - This option adds the participant's gaining the achievement to the event feed.
  • Hide until rewarded - By default, all badges are visible on the leaderboard throughout the event. Badges that have not yet been awarded are dimmed. If, instead, you do not want them to be visible until they are achieved, select this option.
  • Allow multiple times - When enabled, the achievement can be awarded daily during the challenge.
  • Only After Badge - This dropdown allows you to set a dependency for the achievements so it can't be achieved until some other badge is achieved. This is designed for events such as triathlons in which the order in which an activity is performed should be followed.
  • Active from (included) and Active til (included) - The dates entered in this field will constrain the dates that the badge can be earned. For example, in a four-week challenge, if you only want the badge to be available for the first week, the Active from date would be the first day of your challenge, and the Active till date would be the date for day seven of your challenge.

Goals

While there are many goal options available, generally these should be left alone.

Email

Enable the email option to have an automatic email sent when this badge is earned. The email contains a Share option, which helps to increase the engagement of this challenge.

Design

When you select the Design action for a new badge, you are presented with the following options:

  • Color (code or name) - enter the name of the color (e.g., "blue") or select the square to the right of the color field to see a color picking widget.
  • Upload an image - select an image from your computer to upload as the badge. If you select this option, all other Design options are disabled.
  • Text on badge - enter whatever text you would like to appear within the badge.
  • Shape - select a shape for your badge in the dropdown menu.
  • Icon - select the icon you would like to appear within your badge in the dropdown menu.

After configuring your achievement, remember to select SAVE to preserve your settings.
