Badges

Badges are digital emblems you can earn as you participate in a challenge. Badges are earned by reaching specific goals or achieving certain results as defined by the administrator of the challenge in your organization. Common ways to achieve badges include:

  • Reaching a daily or weekly goal.
  • Reaching a new landmark in a virtual journey.
  • Completing the challenge.
  • Uploading a selfie or story to the event feed.
  • Performing a specific type of activity, such as going for a swim or doing some yoga.

Some badges may have bonus points associated with them that can increase your total score in a competitive challenge. For example, in a step challenge, your administrator may establish a 500-step bonus if you upload a selfie. Note that if a bonus is applied to a badge, the bonus is added to your total score for the challenge and does not show up as part of your daily score. In the previous example of a selfie badge, if you accumulated 50,000 steps in a challenge and one of those days you walked 10,000 steps and uploaded a selfie, your total steps for the day would appear as 10,000, but the score for the event would be 50,500.
