How can I track an activity as I am performing it?

If you don't have a wearable device for tracking your activities or if you just prefer to keep all of your challenge related activities in one place, our App has its own activity logger. Note that you cannot track activities from our browser-based client. Only manual entries are supported on the web.

In the app

Follow these steps:

  1. On the Results, Feed, or Me tab, select the + Activity button.
    1. If you want to track an activity that is eligible in the currently loaded challenge, select the eligible activity.
    2. If the activity you're tracking is not listed it is because it is not eligible for the currently loaded challenge. if you still want to track it
      1. Select All Options
      2. If the activity you want to track is still not listed, select the Show All Activity Types link, then select the desired activity.
  2. You may get an information message at this time with an option to Track anyway or Okay. If you select Okay, the activity will not be tracked.
  3. If you selected Track anyway, the app will begin to track your activity. At this point you will not be able to perform any other action in the app until you stop tracking.
    1. If it is an activity that does not involve movement from one location to another, only your time engaged in the activity will be tracked.
    2. If it is an activity that involves movement from one location to another, for example cycling, your distance will be tracked in addition to time.
  4. Once you are ready to stop tracking the activity, select the Stop button. At this point you will have the option to Save the activity, Discard the activity without saving it, or resume the activity by selecting the less-than (<) symbol at the top of the screen.

The activity will now be added to your profile.
