Defining a geo-fence (geo restricted area)

You can optionally define a geographical area in which activities must take place. For instance to facilitate a competition in a local nature reserve. Only activities who are entirely within the defined geographical area (called geo-fence) may count towards the leaderboard.

Each race in your event can have a different geo-fence defined.

You can access this option from the Geo-fence menu option from the race advanced options page:

To create a geo-fence:

  1. Click the small polygon icon in the top-right corner of the map on the Geo-fence page:

  2. Click points around your allowed area (the greenly marked area shows the selected area:

  3. Click the first point to close the area and save your geo-fence

After a geo-fence is enabled it can be modified and also be removed to allow all activities again.
