Refer-a-Friend

To encourage participants of your event to invite their friends you can enable our Refer-a-Friend tool. Enabling this option will display banners to registered participants to invite their friends to join your event.



This banner is shown on leaderboards and also on the personal profiles of your participants. You can customize the text to show as well as the emails to send out.


Invite Friend Page

When someone clicks on the Invite a Friend button they are asked for the name and email of their friend and can optionally provide a personal message as well. The email contains a link for the friend to register.


Link to register is resolved as:

  1. Personal refer-a-friend link from reg data (depending on the used registration platform)
  2. Event Registration Url
  3. Event Website

Once the friend registers, their data is imported/synced using the normal reg-sync flow.


Other features

  • The system keeps a log of all friends who were invited (for reporting purposes) and by whom. This list can be downloaded from the Reports page.
